Summary

GiftYa® is a new, patented gifting app that can be described as the Venmo of gifting, but with additional unique features. With it, consumers can text friends an egift in any amount, to any merchant, shop, restaurant or venue, anywhere in the U.S., regardless of size or location, within seconds. Through GiftYa’s partnership with Visa and Mastercard, the recipient is automatically credited when they make a purchase.

My Role

I led UX and UI for the GiftYa app, website, merchant portal and corporate portal.

Brand Guidelines

Creating the brand guidelines was the foundation for creating a product that was cohesive across the various platforms (website, app & portals): logo, colors, typography, icon usage, voice and photography.

GiftYa Website

The concept for GiftYa started almost 12 years ago. It took several years to patent and bring together the partnerships with Visa, Mastercard and Plaid that were needed to make it work.

In 2018, I was excited to bring that vision to reality with the GiftYa website.

I led the UX, UI, user research and testing to bring the product to market, working closely with stakeholders and developers from to ensure successful implementation.

GiftYa Merchant Portal

Similar to how businesses can manage their listing on Yelp, GiftYa’s merchant portal enables merchants to manage their listings on GiftYa, as well as providing them with:

• Real-time sales summary

• Insight to GiftYas in circulation

• Overview of outstanding balances

• Detailed heat map of where users are searching/sending GiftYas
